The book starts with a powerful story of a mother being born, displayed in its various stages, followed by captivating imagery of other wild animals across their different phases, like two lionesses fighting over a prey one of them caught.
My personal favourite was the chapter “Emotions of the Wild,” capturing Tanzania's southernmost Serengeti about a leopard and her cubs. It made me teary-eyed 🥲 as we took in the fate of the lost cubs. "The fastest animal in the world also gets the fastest death." There are also portions where they captured the leopard training its six-month-old to hunt as it practiced on a calf. It all feels so vivid, as if I were watching a wildlife TV show, no moment is missed here.
In all its knowledge, content, storytelling, and vivid explanations, the author captured a plethora of scenes in nature that run like a video in your mind. You see, you feel, and you are transported to those wildlife sanctuaries. Besides, you also get plenty of fun facts that might fascinate you (like the reason behind the highest death tolls of wildebeests).
Talking about the quality, the book has a magazine-like finish to it. Each page glistens with images that feel like a moving GIF. It was as if I were turning the pages of Vogue, only this one was focused on animals and a few feathery beasts.
